North Valley Credit Union now has INTERAC© e-Transfers! E-Transfers are a quick, easy and secure way to transfer money between you and anyone with a supported financial institution, without giving out any personal information. There is no need to set up a new account, as long as you have online banking you are good to go. All you need is the recipient’s email address and/or mobile phone number.

Sending an INTERAC e-Transfer $1.50 (non-refundable)
Receiving an INTERAC e-Transfer No Fee
Stopping an INTERAC e-Transfer (before being accepted) No Fee

Per Transaction Send (debit) min $10.00, max $3000.00
Receive (credit) $25 000.00
Daily Send (debit) $5000.00

Weekly Send (debit) $10 000.00

To send an INTERAC e-Transfer
– Sign onto online banking and click the transfers link then select INTERAC e-Transfers
– Select Send Money, if you have not sent money to the individual before then you will have to Add New Recipient (all you need is their email address and/or mobile phone number)
– Think of a secret question o Every time you send an INTERAC e-Transfers you will need a secret question
o The recipient should know the answer to the question (this is how they accept the money)
– You will have the option to include a personal message for the recipient
– The last step will be confirming the transaction. On this page you will be able to review all the information for the transfer. Once you are happy with everything then click Confirm
– Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes for the transaction to process
To receive an INTERAC e-Transfer
– Click on the link in the email. This will send you to the INTERAC© log in screen. Once on this screen you can select your bank or credit union
– Once you select the financial institution the link will take you to your online banking log on screen
– When you are logged on you will be directed through the steps to accept the transfer
– Be sure that you know the answer to the secret question the sender used (this is case sensitive)
